Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hendry, Jr. of Woodville announce the birth of their second child and second son, Culin Owen, on Tuesday, the eighteenth of July, at Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge La.  Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hendry of Woodville. Maternal grandparents are Mrs. Carol Bowman of New Roads, La. and Mr. Carl Bowman of Zachery, La.   Great grandparents are Olga Hendry of Poplarville and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry House of Lumberton.


Arthur Bruss;    Funeral services for Arthur "Boo" Bruss, 62-year-old native and lifelong resident of Centreville, were held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 29, 2000, at the Newman Funeral Home Chapel in Centreville.

Helen R. Curry;  Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Raworth Curry, 86-year old, longtime Woodville resident, who died at 6:40am on Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, was held at 2:00pm on Friday, July 28, 2000 at Woodville Baptist Church.

Mary W. Jones;  Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Virginia Windham Jones, a 104 year old, resident of Centreville Health Care Center, died there early on Tuesday morning, July 25, 2000, was held at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Waynesboroon Thursday, July 27, 2000.  

Almena W. Major;  Funeral services for Almena "Pet" Kilbourne, a 69 year old, born on January 14, 1931, in Woodville Ms., was held at 1:00pm on Sunday, July 30, 2000, at Woodville United Methodist Church.  She died at 3:30am on Friday, July 29, 2000, in Baton Rouge. 

Carrie Fountain;  Funeral services for Carrie Fountain, 53, of Woodville, were held at noon on Monday, July 31, 2000, at the Magnolia Baptist Church near Woodville.  She died in Woodville on Thursday, July 27, 2000.

Diana B. Morgan;  Funeral services for Diana Boyd "Mother" Morgan, 49, a resident of Baton Rouge, were held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 29, 2000. at greater King David Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.
